Somewhere Apartment Hotel

Sehr zentral gelegen. Shoppingmall, U-bahn in direkter nähe. Leider auch eine laute 6 spurige Strasse. Alkohol gibts leider nur gegenüber im ibis Hotel, dort auch gutes essen. Das zimmer war leider sehr schmutzig.

Das Hotel ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es ist sauber und gepflegt. Das Frühstück ist durchaus vielfältig und das im Restaurant angebotene Essen ist gut und nicht zu teuer. Direkt vor dem Hotel befindet sich die Metro-Station ung gegenüber, durch eine sechsspurige Strasse getrennt, die Shopping Mall City Center. Der Bus für die Stadtrundfahrt startet ebenfalls gegenüber.

Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren stets sauber und wurden zum Teil zweimal am Tag aufbereitet.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend bestückt, es gab westlich und arabisch orientierte Speisen.Das angebotene Essen im Restaurant hatte ein gutes Preis/Leistungssverhältnis.

Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und die Möbel etwas antiquar und ziemlich dunkel. Wir waren nur ab spätem Abend im Hotel und daher störte es uns nicht.

Das Hotel eignet sich sehr gut als Basisstation für eine Städtereise. Legt man keinen Wert auf Design und ist mit einer normalen Ausstattung zufrieden, liegt man hier richtig. Obwohl das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, ist der Zustand gepflegt und alles ist sehr sauber.

Very nice hotel placed close to the Deira city mall. Big and beautiful appartment with well equipped kitchen. We only used it for making coffee, etc., but we could have prepared meals. We also used the washingmachine in the appartment. Nice breakfast in the News café and very nice dinners the two times we chose to eat there. A few times we forgot to remove the "please dont disturb sign" from the door before leaving for whole day tours. The staff would then come in the evening and ask if we needed anything. Great staff all over. A lot of pilots and business people are staying at the hotel, which usually guaranties for the quality of the hotel. Best for city-stays but they do have a small outdoor swimmingpool when it gets too hot. This is a very nice hotel!

Close to Deira City Mall with app. 400 shops. Fairly close to the creek and only 10 minutes drive to the airport. We did not go to the beach because it was to hot. But Is is not close to the hotel. We were told in advance not to take taxis straight from hotels in Dubai. Much cheaper from elsewhere. From the Deira Mall there are plenty of taxis - usually we paid app. 3 euro for 5-6 kilometres. City tours also started from the mall. Buy the hop on hop off bus tour directly at the big bus company at the mall (at this company the children are children untill 15 years). Dessert safaris from Orient Tours. They have good drivers and pick you up at the hotel.

Very nice staff all over - reception, café, room, swimmingpool, etc. Get used to people holding doors for you..

There are two restaurants in the hotel. We only used the News cafe. Very nice breakfast and dinner.

Free fitnessroom and poolarea. We only used the pool a few times. We were handed out towels for free.

We "only" had an excecutive suite - but it was very nice, big. Nice big bathroom with shower and bathtop. Big bed, lots of space for our clothes, ironing board in the room, sitting area, big flat screen television, etc. No balcony, but wasnt needed. It was to hot outside and we enjoyed the airconditioned room.

We can only recommend this hotel highly.
